Way back when, in San Diego, California, Ginny King had a little gift store that specialized in custom gift baskets. She had many contracts for the downtown San Diego hotels who needed creative gifts for room amenities and large conventions. She even created over 1000 gifts for the America's Cup Races! When her husband got a Corporate relocation to the Bay Area, sadly, Ginny had to sell her store. With two daughters to raise, Ginny spent the next 15 years working primarily from home as a Professional Marketing Consultant.

With family and second homes in the Prescott, Arizona area, Ginny's family relocated from California in the summer of 2005. The move provided the opportunity to reopen the business that she left all those years before. But best of all, it brought the extended family together again - such a blessing!

After searching the Prescott area for a location that would reflect the creativity and passion that would reside within, she found a historic 100 year old house in the Historic McCormick Arts District. After many months of refurbishment, the store was opened in October of 2005. With it's old hardwood floors and out of square doors, the old house suits it's caretaker well!

For her business clientele, Ginny brings her 15 years of marketing to the table which provides the necessary insight to translate a simple thank you gift into a strategic marketing tool. The goal is to create a presentation that reflects and supports the standards that clients demand within their own companies. As a vendor/partner in their overall mission, we strive with every order to provide a gift that makes the appropriate statement with the greatest impact.

Every gift created is seen as an inspiration and challenge to a higher standard of quality and presentation. At a Thing or Two, we're well aware that there are many people out there who can toss a few gourmet food products into a common basket and have it suffice as a token gift. We, however, pledge to work diligently, searching for the most unique products and creating spectacular presentations to avoid the common result.
